If you have been married for less than 2 years and you want to file an Application for Divorce, you are required participate in counselling with your spouse. In cases where attending counselling is not feasible, you will be required to submit an Affidavit explaining the reasons for not attending counselling. In exceptional situations, you have the option to file an Application for Divorce seeking the court's permission to proceed with the Application for Divorce within the initial 2 years of the marriage. In Australia, you are required to file an Application for Divorce in the Federal Circuit Court, regardless of whether your marriage took place in Australia or abroad, you will need to meet one of the following criteria: • You are an Australian citizen. • Your usual residence is in Australia. • You have resided in Australia continuously for the 12 months immediately preceding the filing of the application. • You consider Australia your permanent home and have the intention to reside here indefinitely. Australia's divorce process operates on a "no fault" basis. Before filing an Application for Divorce, you and your spouse must have been separated for a period of 12 months or more. Supporting Friends with Dignity. Every April Friends with Dignity hold a PJ Drive where the community is asked to donate new pyjamas for children from babies to size kids 16. These PJs are then given to local refuges and services for the children in their care ensuring that they have a lovely fresh pair of jammies to cuddle in to. If you would like to donate there's still time. Drop your donation of new PJ's or books to LJ Hooker Property Hub in Robina by 30 April.
